KPI programmes

Create a programme and assign owners

Define a KPI programme, choose its measures and make someone accountable for each KPI.

Updated 9 September 2026

Before you start

You need administrator access and a Program or Enterprise plan to create KPI programmes. Decide what outcome you want to track, who will own it and how it will be measured.

Prepare the programme

  1. Open KPIs and use the programme creation control.

  2. Enter a Programme title and Purpose. Choose the Scope and relevant assessment subject where needed.

  3. In the programme builder, review Programme details.

  4. Use Add KPI to define a measure. Enter its KPI title, Description and Accountable owner.

  5. Choose the Source. Use a manual source for values your team records. Use an assessment source when the value should come from a finalised assessment.

  6. Set the measure type, target rule and target. Check the unit and review timing.

Check ownership and sources

Choose an owner who can explain the result and coordinate action. For an assessment source, select the relevant published template and assessment owner. Check that the selected audit measure matches the result you intend to track.

Save, review and activate

Select Save draft while preparing the programme. Resolve the items that need attention before using the activation control. Saving a draft does not activate it.

Review targets and schedules carefully before activation. The active configuration is protected. Substantive changes need a new programme version.

If creation is unavailable

Check your role and plan. The app may allow you to read existing history while preventing new programmes or measurements.
